David Greenawalt, who passed in 2009. Dolores loved her family, going for walks, and playing the violin. She also enjoyed working with her hands, knitting, crocheting and sewing. When she was young Dolores took art lessons from the Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia and loved to paint portraits and landscapes in oil. Dolores loved the Lord and for many years was active at St John’s Lutheran Church and Seventh Presbyterian Church teaching Sunday School and serving in various positions.

Donnalee Sorenson, 56, of Lancaster, passed away at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, following a brief but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, she was the daughter of Leslie “Roy” Sorenson and Linda (Bailey) Berry. She was preceded in death by her fiancée of 11 years, Phil Young, who passed away a month before their intended wedding date.

Joseph Paul Stanavage, 93, of Lancaster, died peacefully on July 19, 2022 at Hospice & Community Care, Mt Joy. He was born and raised in Scranton, PA, son of the late Joseph Peter Stanavage and Verna Pacyna. Joe graduated from University of Scranton with a Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering, took post graduate courses at University of Delaware & Wesleyan University, CT. He was employed at RCA Lancaster for most of his life. He enjoyed many activities at the Lancaster Liederkranz such as singing, dancing, playing Eisstockschiessen and Schafkopf, and fests. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling and hunting.

Douglas W. Stoner, age 71, passed away on July 17, 2022. He was the son of Benjamin F. and Betty Weidler Stoner. At one time Douglas was employed by Lancaster County’s Children and Youth Agency as a bookkeeper. He was the Poster Boy for two years running for the Lancaster County Crippled Children’s Society’s Buck-A-Cup/ Brace-A-Child Coffee Day Campaign.

Born on August 11, 1921, Irene grew up in Pottstown, PA, the second of five children born of the late Steven and Helen (Yaros) Stofko. On September 5, 1942 she married her beloved husband, the late Guy Swavely, and they shared 76 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 2019.
