Tomasz Skiba, 28
Tomasz Skiba, 28, of Leola died Saturday, October 13, 2007.
Born in Wroclaw, Poland, he was the son of Miroslaw J. Skiba, married to Teresa of Lancaster, and Grazyna Reszel Skiba of Wroclaw, Poland. He was the husband of Andrea McClelland Skiba of Leola.
Tomasz was a chef, and had formerly worked at Mazzi in Leola, and Outback Steakhouse in Lancaster. He was a 1998 graduate of Manheim Township High School where he was a running back on the varsity football team. He also attended Pennsylvania State University. He was an avid reader who loved books about science and culinary techniques. He enjoyed playing soccer, tennis and watching football on weekends, He was also a huge Penn State fan. Tomasz loved spending time with his daughter, who he nicknamed “Pumpkin”. He was of the Lutheran faith.
Surviving besides his parents and wife are a daughter, Hayleigh A. Skiba at home; and four sisters, Karolina Skiba of London, England; Agnieszka Skiba of Wroclaw, Poland; Kamila Skiba and Dorothy Skiba, both of Lancaster.
Relatives and friends will be received at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA on Saturday from 10:00-11:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.
Please omit flowers; Memorial contributions in Tomasz’s memory may be sent to Wachovia Bank, 741 S. Broad St., Lititz, PA 17543 or brought to the funeral home the day of the service for a scholarship fund for his daughter, Hayleigh.
