Reverend Carl E. Petters, 89
Reverend Carl Eugene Petters, 89, formerly of Conestoga, joined his wife, Donna Lou Petters, in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 29, 2024 . He was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, on January 1, 1935, to Carl F. and Catharine Young Petters. After living in Lancaster as a young boy, his family moved to a farm in Conestoga, Pennsylvania, where he graduated from high school. He received a degree from Millersville State Teachers College, where he met his wife, and then entered the teaching profession. After marrying, he was drafted into the US Army and was stationed in Heidelberg, Germany. On returning, he attended Faith Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and ministered for over 30 years as a pastor at Dover Bible Church in Ohio and Charleston Harbor Bible Church in South Carolina. Besides serving in the ministry and teaching, Carl retired from his work at the Citadel Military College in 2015 after 30 years of service. He touched many lives along the way as he faithfully provided for his family and served his Lord.
