Richard G. Schierl, 55
Richard Gary Schierl, 55, of Houston, TX passed away after a short illness on November 28, 2008. He was born in Wilmington, DE to his parents Alfred and Joan (Steinke) Schierl of Lititz, PA.
Gary was a salesman for Coastline, selling industrial paints and coatings for boats.
Gary lived in Texas since 1970, where he grew to love the Dallas Cowboys. He greatly enjoyed golfing and NASCAR. He always went out of his way to help others and was very giving of himself. He played in many golf tournaments that benefited and raised money for children organizations.
Survivng besides his parents; a brother, Gregg Schierl, of Palmyra, a sister, Cindy Schierl, of Maytown, and a niece, Melissa Schierl.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Service for Gary at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Chapel, Inc., 3110 Lititz Pk., Lititz, PA 17543, 717-560-5100 on Saturday, December 13, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Michael Martine officiating. A viewing will be held at the funeral home from 1-2 p.m. The interment will take place at Witness Park Cemetery.
