I was saddened by the news of the death of your father who was a faithful worker and friend. My heart is heavy. Smiley’s sudden passing was a great blow to those who knew him. I was a General supervisor at Grinnell (Anvil). Over the years we became good friends. He was an excellent worker and showed other worker how to be better at their jobs. He will be greatly missed.
