Lawrence J. Snyder, 86, of Lancaster, died Monday, June 30, 2014, at Lancaster General Hospital. He was born in Lavelle, Schuylkill County, to the late Harvey K. and Laura E. Yoder Snyder. Lawrence unfortunately died on the 63rd anniversary of the day he married his loving wife Helen P. Bernosky Snyder.
He worked as s color specialist for Armstrong World Industries in Lancaster. Lawrence was a member of Grandview United Methodist Church in Lancaster where he served as an usher and communion server, Ephrata Lodge #1933 B.P.O.E., the National Railway Historical Society, Citizens Police Academy of Lancaster, the Fulton Opera House, the Musical Art Society of Lancaster and the Lancaster Community Concert Association, PA. He formerly belonged to the Cotillion Club and he enjoyed gardening.
In addition to his loving wife Helen, Lawrence is survived by a brother-in-law Carl L. Bernosky, husband of Jean of Ashland and many nieces and nephews. Lawrence was the last of his 13 brothers and sisters.
Services and burial for Lawrence will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Securing Our Future, Grandview United Methodist Church, 888 Pleasure Road, Lancaster, PA 17601.

Dear Aunt Helen, We are so sorry for your loss. It was a shock to Bob and I he looked very well that last time we saw you both. Our prayers go out to you.
