Dear cousin Barbie & Calvin,
We were deeply saddened to hear of John’s passing. Though I only had the pleasure of meeting John and conversing with him at the last family reunion I attended, I was left with the impression of him being a very kind and gentle man. May your heart mend soon and your many memories stay strong. You are in our prayers.
Love,

I had hoped to get to the viewing, but wasn’t able. Ginny and Donald were my cousins, Donald’s father Ray Shaub was my mother’s brother. I was an only child and the only ones left of the family are Mirium Shaub, her children Robert and Beverly and Marian’s family.
Please accept my condolences.

We went to high school with John and have so many fond memories of him. We haven’t had contact with him in many years but he was never far from our thoughts. He had a sweet, gentle soul and will be missed.

Dear Barbie and Calvin,
I am so sorry to hear about your profound loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of grief. John’s suffering is mercifully over now, and his soul has been delivered into a paradise of monumental beauty that suffers no pain or sorrow. Although it’s difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you and yours tomorrow.
With kind Regards,

I was always amazed at the endless talent John demonstrated in all he did. I worked with him in the “cold mills” and truly admired him and will always remember John as a friend and close advisor. John was such an easy going guy who always had a smile and willing to lend a hand to others. His passion for the Civil War era helped preserve this important time in history so others could learn what it was like back the like wearing wool in the summer! John was very well liked by everyone he worked with and we all will miss him dearly,
God bless.
