Jennie M. Wolpert, 91

Jennie M. Wolpert, 91, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, June, 9th 2016 at Lancashire Hall. She was the wife of the late Howard F. Wolpert.

Born in Marietta, PA she was the daughter of the late Clyde E. and Mary (Maloney) Rose.

Jennie was a 1942 graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School and a longtime member of Long Memorial United Methodist Church in Neffsville,PA. Jennie previously worked at the Horse Inn as a cook and after she retired from J.C. Penny Restaurant, Park City store for 20 years she then went back to work as a cook at Brethren Village. She especially enjoyed roller skating and bowling in her younger years.

Jennie is survived by her 5 loving children; Larry F. husband of Frances M. Wolpert, Linda M. wife of James M. Bachman, Suzanne E. Shertzer all of Lititz, PA, Howard F. Wolpert Jr. of Lancaster, PA and Mary Ann Wolplert of Millersville, PA, 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband Howard, Jennie was preceded in death by 1 grandson; Ronald B. Styer Jr., 1 son in law; Douglas A. Shertzer Sr. and a brother; Paul D. Rose.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 11AM at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543 with Rev. Dr. Sharon Barley officiating. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home from 10-11AM for a viewing prior to the service. Interment will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery where Jennie will be laid to rest with her husband.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Jennie may be made to Long Memorial United Methodist Church, 2660 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601.

I have such wonderful memories of our family gatherings, especially the ones when our Parents were in good health.  We must continue those gatherings (always thanks to you, Larry and Fran).  Your Mother and Father are in a beautiful place now. together and happy once again.  We will all join them one day.
