Hugh J. Higgins, Jr., 75, of Lancaster, passed away on October 19, 2016 at home with his wife by his side. Born in Shamokin, PA, he was the son of the late Hugh & Elizabeth Higgins. Hugh was the husband of Susan (Nissley) Higgins and they shared a wonderful 30 years together.
Hugh was a graduate from Franklin & Marshall College. A veteran, he served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Hugh retired as an executive recruiter after 35 years of service with S.H.S. Bank.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Susan, is a son, Sean Higgins (Sherry); 2 step-daughters: Cathy Ruth (Matt) & Terri Wallace (Bill); 7 grandchildren: Jordan, Madison, Riley, Lexi, Makenna, Bill & Nick; and a sister, Nancy Meier (Ken).
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice & Community Care, 685 Good Drive, Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.

SUsan I was so sorry to hear of Hugh’s passing, this is Gary Hall HOffman . My condolences to you and your entire family, Hugh and I worked together close to thirty yrs, I must tell you to this day I have never known anyone with as great a sence of humor as Hugh.
