Dear Dave and Family,

Even though I never met Betsy, I heard enough to know that she was a special lady.  I am sure she will be missed. She is happy and settled now- it’s you that I am worried about and hoping that the pain melts quickly into peace and thanksgivimg for her release and your shared years. May you have every blessing that you need along the way. Allow yourself the time to heal with no “Shoulds”, expectations or guilt trips.  It will come.  Sue Nahalka

Dave – I was so sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you!

October 20, 2016

Dear Dave and Kristen, Sincere sympathy to you in the passing of your wife and mother. I was a college officer with Betsy at Seton Hill and have wonderful memories of time with her while she was at Pitt and McKeesport. Though our life path separated us geographically, she remains a friend to be admired, emulated and appreciated.  I was hoping that we would reconnect and catch up at our 50th college reunion in 2018.
I ask God’s blessing on you and your family as you deal with this loss and hope that over time your memories will sustain you.  Betsy represents the best in all of us.

Dear David,
I am unable to personally convey my condolences.  Whenever our duties as District Reading Coordinators brought us together to plan events Betsy always shared ideas and concerns that put children first.  She was truly a “Master Teacher”. To me there is no greater complement.
Sorry for your loss.  With Heartfelt Sympathy, Rose Stetler

Dear Dave, Kristen, and family,  Please accept our most sincere condolences on Betsy’s passing.  Since her diagnosis, she has been a model of strength, hope, and courage.  Throughout her life she was an excellent teacher to all with whom she came in contact.  She was also an example of not only how to live life but also how to leave it — fighting with every fiber of her being while still flashing her beautiful smile and bright eyes.  She will be missed by all she met and we thank you for sharing Betsy with us.  May you be comforted in the knowledge that she is at peace and in thanksgiving for all the wonderful memories that she has given to you and all those fortunate enough to have known her.  Tom and Celine Clouse
