Tracy, Tisha, Ms. Yvonne, and Mr. Doug. Dougie will always be fondly remembered as the nicest guy in class and one of the smartest. He was always a gentleman whenever I came over to hang out with Tracy. I am deeply saddened but take comfort knowing that he didn’t suffer.

To the Grimes Family, it is with deepest sympathies that I send my condolences on the death of Doug. I will always remember his kind smile and soft spirit. Doug was in my Black History Club at Hand Junior High and performed one of the best monologues I’ve ever heard a junior high school student deliver. He held a special place in my heart. Peace be with you during this time.
