Charles Brubaker, 87

Charles Brubaker, 87, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Hospice and Community Care in Mount Joy.
He was the husband of Annetta F. Forney Brubaker, with whom he shared 63 years of marriage this past May 11th. Born in Ephrata, he was the son of the late Abram and Mary Crills Brubaker.
Charles had worked as a tool and die maker for the Permutit Company for 37 ½ years. Following his retirement, he worked at the Learning Ladder and as a sexton at St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church.
He was a member of the Manheim Twp. Lions Club where he received the Melvin Jones Award, enjoyed golfing, was a 20 year member of the Dutchland Polkateers, and was the Park City Santa Claus for 10 years. He loved to play computer poker, was a big Phillies, Eagles, and Yankees fan, and loved to spend his time with his family and grandchildren.
He was charter 50 year member of St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he was a member of the 50 Plus group.
Charles served in the United Stated Marine Corps, being veteran of both World War II and the Korean War.
His family wished to gratefully thank Dr. Allan Davis and his staff, Davita Dialysis, and Hospice and Community Care for the excellent care provided to Charles throughout the years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: S. Lynn married to Raymond Cucculelli of Lancaster, Dennis C. Brubaker of Lancaster, and Beverly A. married to James Resch of East Petersburg; his 2 grandchildren: Erin E. Resch and James M. Resch Jr.; and his siblings: Margaret Queen of AZ, Ruth Prime of CA, Dorothy Imler of CA, Abe and Clyde Brubaker of New Holland, Grace Nolt of Narvon, Helen Weiler of New Holland, and Mildred Dyer of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Catherine Good, Wayne, Willard, and Raymond Brubaker, Shirley Diamantoni and twins Willis and John Brubaker.
Friends will be received on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church, 10 Delp Rd., Lancaster, PA 17601 from 1-2PM, with the Funeral Service to follow at 2PM. Interment to follow in the Neffsville Brethren Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, one may contribute in Charles’ memory to St. Peters Lutheran Church at the above address or to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Drive, Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
