Condolences to the Family

Cathy Mehalik was a beautiful, caring woman. I met her, when her daughter Lauren was my student, back in middle school in Miami. Cathy Mehalik was full of energy and love for life. She adored her daughter and she was the most caring parent I have ever met. We spent only 3 years together, but up to today I remember her laugh, her sense of humor, her love for her family. Cathy is with the Lord, and from there she will watch over her loved ones. My prayers are with George and Lauren. With love, Gabriele Kieren-Moghani and Family

I enjoyed working with Cathy at L-S throughout many years. I was always relieved when I knew Cathy was in subbing for my classes as I knew the students would be in excellent hands. Cathy had enthusiasm for everything she did and truly enjoyed the interactions she had with staff and students. Cathy always had a kind word for all. Along with that, she was ready to share an observational comment about life that would leave me laughing. My condolences to her husband and family.

It was a pleasure having the opportunity to work with Cathy on a number of occasions. Her quick-wit and sarcastic personality regularly left me smiling. The courage and fight she displayed these last few years is a tribute to her character and the type of person she was. My condolences go out to her family. She was a terrific lady and will be dearly missed.
