C. Joanne (Williams) Buckley, 84 of Lancaster, died unexpectedly Friday, June 19, 2015 at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Manheim, PA.
Born in Canandaigua, NY, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Florence (Davenport) Williams.
She was employed as a clerk for Armstrong for 34 years until her retirement in 1991.
Joanne was a lifetime member of the Train Collectors Association, and was an avid reader and loved counted cross-stitch.
She was a graduate of Canandaigua Academy in NY, and was of the Protestant Faith.
She is survived by her former husband and good friend, Eric Buckley, Jr of New Providence, PA; her daughter, Carolyn Vack and her husband Donald J. of Gordonville, PA; a sister, Janice Newby of Geneva, NY; 2 nieces: Sandra Weimer and her husband Jeff of Brownstown, PA and Linda New-Craig and her husband Al of Reeds Spring, MO; 2 stepsisters, 2 stepbrothers, and several cousins. She was preceded in death by a niece, Patricia Newby.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Carolyn, I was saddened to see that your mom passed. She was one of my favorite patients. I greatly enjoyed visiting with her and chatting about her life and interests. What a blessing to have been able to get to know her.
