Winifred Humphreville, 78
Winifred Mercedes MacNulty “Ki” Humphreville, 78 of Lititz, formerly of Lancaster, PA died suddenly of natural causes April 25, 2007.
Ki graduated from the Millersville University with a B.S. in Education, and received M.Ed. in Education from the Pennsylvania State University.
Ki taught elementary education for the School District of Lancaster. She retired in 1991 after 30 years with the district. During her tenure, she received the Distinguished Educators Award by the Millersville University chapter of Phi Delta Kappa. “She was honored for being receptive to new ideas, approaching each school year with the enthusiasm of a beginning teacher and for developing a writing program.”
Ki was a member of the Conestoga Country Club, the Avalon Yacht Club, Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, and St. James Catholic Church, Lititz. She volunteered at the Lancaster General Hospital Kissel Hill Center. She enjoyed golfing, travel, reading, all collegiate sports, especially Penn State football, spending time with her family and summering at her home in Avalon, NJ.
Ki was born in Towanda, PA in 1929 to Dr. David James MacNulty and Catherine Winifred Duggan MacNulty. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Robert Evin Humphreville. She is survived by her sister, Mary M. Oberholtzer, of Houston, TX; brother, William D. MacNulty of Sanibel Island, FL, and Cashiers, NC; son, John David Humphreville, husband of Laurie W., of Naples, FL; daughter Cornelia Humphreville Minney, wife of Robert D., of Lancaster; and 4 grandchildren, Caroline Elizabeth Humphreville, John Evin Humphreville, Catherine Elizabeth Minney and Mercedes Jane Minney.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service on Tuesday morning at 10 AM at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel Inc., 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 9AM until 10AM. Interment will be in Conestoga Memorial Park.
