Winifred E. Reinhart, 103

Winifred E. Reinhart, 103, passed away peacefully at her home in Lititz on May 3, 2019. She was the devoted wife of the late Clair N. Reinhart, who passed away in 2004 and to whom she was married for 54 years. Born in Eden Township Lancaster County, she was the daughter of the late Alvin J. Roberts and Anna (Frackman) Roberts Howe.

She was a life-long member of the Lutheran Church, and a member of St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lancaster for 64 years.

Winnie operated her own Beauty Salon in Neffsville from 1949 until the early 70’s, followed by working for the U.S. Postal Service until her retirement in 1980. She enjoyed gardening, and will be fondly remembered for her spirit and determination. Her real passion was caring for her family.

She is survived by a daughter Nancy, wife of Frank Grube Jr. Lititz, and preceded in death in 2006 by a son Donald A. Garvin (Joann). Surviving are 6 grandchildren, Rickey Garvin (Jolene) of Elizabethtown, Debra Martin of East Petersburg, Donna Dreyer of Waynesboro, Dawn Garvin of Marysville, Andrea Steffy Bear (David) of Lititz and Gregory Steffy Jr. of Lititz, 13 great grandchildren, 21 great-great grandchildren, and 1 great-great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.

Friends will be received on Friday, May 10, 2019 from 10-11AM at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 10 Delp Rd., Lancaster, PA with the Funeral Service to follow at 11AM. Interment in St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery at 1:30PM. If desired, memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice & Community Care, 685 Good Drive, Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
