William R. Strausser, 76

William Richard “Fish” Strausser, 76, Wyomissing, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 peacefully in the Mifflin Center following his long courageous battle with dementia.
He was married to his loving wife, Catherine M. “Kitty” (Landis) for 53 years before her passing in July 2017.
Born in Temple, he was a son of the late Edgar E. Sr. and Dorothy (Reed) Strausser.
He was an Army veteran serving in Germany. After 43 years of dedicated service, he was retired from Empire Steel Castings, Laureldale. He was also an active volunteer fire fighter with the Berkshire Heights Fire Company in the 70’s and 80’s.
He loved traveling all over the world on cruises with Catherine as well as hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he adored.
William is survived by 3 daughters: Wendy A., wife of Alvin Shade Jr., Wyomissing, Pepper L. wife of Kevin Troop, Reading, and Candy L., wife of Albert Gray, Reading. Also a son, Randy W., fiancé of Lisa Beiler, Wyomissing. There are 6 grandchildren: Amanda, Brittany, Bethany, Melodie, Kayla and Zachary. Also 2 great-grandchildren: Alexander and Elijah. He is also survived by his brother, Edgar E. Strausser, Jr., Kenhorst, and was pre-deceased by his siblings: Nancy A. Strausser and Ronald Bagenstose.
At William’s request, there will be no funeral service. A family memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

Daddy,. I miss you so much it takes me awhile for certain things to hit me. I am sure mommy is taking very good care if you in heaven. The both of you are dearly missed. We love you. Candy and Albert. God please look over Wendy pepper and Randy they need you.
