William Gonzalez, 66

March 23, 2024

William Gonzalez, 66, of Brooksville, FL and formerly of Lancaster, entered eternal rest on March 23, 2024, at Lancaster General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Manhattan, he was the son of the late Diego and Julia Gonzalez. He cherished over 47 years of love, marriage, and memories with Carmen Gonzalez.

A man of God, William was dedicated to his faith and spread the word of God to others through his countless selfless actions. He was always lending a helping hand or finding the means to help anyone in need. Kind, generous, and loving, are just a few ways others remember William from his time hosting many families out of his own home. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother that will be missed sorely by his family. Those will also remember William fondly for his enjoyment tinkering around and admiring muscle cars and remodeling homes.

William will be missed by all who knew and loved him. His memories will live on in his wife Carmen; children, Maritza Melendez, wife of Ramon of Brownstown, Daniel Rivera of Lancaster, William Gonzalez, husband of Martha of Wisconsin, and Doreen Gonzalez-Anderson, wife of Peter of Lancaster; grandchildren, Dezaray, Antionette, Melesha, Daniel Jr., Naomi, Avery, Tiarra, Diego, Sebastian, Lucas, and Sienna; 9 great grandkids, and siblings, Angel Gonzalez, Jose A. Gonzalez, and Miriam Sanchez. He was preceded in passing by his parents, a sister, Olga Iris Sanchez, and a son, Oscar Rivera.

Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery, Lancaster.
