William F. “Bill” Foltz, III, 64, of Lancaster passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Lancaster Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Victoria (Mastromatteo) Foltz to whom he was married for 41 years.
Born in Columbia, PA he was the son of Beverly Ann (Rosenberger) Foltz of East Petersburg, PA and the late William F. Foltz, II. Bill graduated from Millersville University with a bachelor’s degree in business and education and formerly taught at J.P. McCaskey High School for several years. He enjoyed computers, walking, hiking and watching the Andy Griffith Show. Bill was a great husband who had a great laugh and sense of humor. He was a fighter and determined individual throughout his illness. Bill was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the American Legion Post 34 where he enjoyed listening to the bands perform there. Every year on Vicki’s birthday Bill would take her for dinner and a show at the Fulton Theatre. Bill’s final gift to others was the gift of life as he was an organ donor.
In addition to his wife Victoria and mother Beverly Ann he is survived by his two children Carrie Ann McGough of Millersville and William Dean Hershey of Mount Joy; one step-daughter Laurie Ann DeFord of Millersville; four grandchildren Caity, Gabe, Wyatt and Mirissa; two sisters Anne Marie, wife of Frank Smith of Enola and Theresa Ann Schuck of Lititz; numerous nieces and nephews and one uncle William Rosenberger husband of Lisa of Lancaster. Bill was preceded in death by a sister Lisa Ann Morrison.
