William “Bill” John McMahon Jr., 69

William “Bill” John McMahon, Jr. Of Lancaster County, passed away peacefully at home, on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at the age of 69. Born September 27, 1952, in Hudson, New York, Bill was a 1971 graduate of St. Mary’s Academy and went on to graduate with an Associate Degree in Animal Husbandry from SUNY Cobleskill in 1973 where he met his wife of 48 years, Nancy (Wollaston) of Toughkenamon, PA. Bill, along with Nancy, Co-founded and operated Solanco Propane and Heating Inc of Peach Bottom, PA for the past 28 years.
Bill enjoyed riding motorcycles, collecting antique tractors, and splitting his time in PA and farm in Edinburg, ND that he and Nancy have enjoyed since 2009.
In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by three daughters, Cate Holman (David), Amy Wood (Dan), both of Auburn, WA, and Ellen Labenski (Jeremy) of Buckeye AZ, as well as three granddaughters and one grandson. Bill was proceeded in death by his father, William John McMahon, Sr., And mother, Veronica LaCour, of Germantown, NY.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 2, 2022, at New Garden Friends Meeting- 875 Newark Rd, Toughkenamon, PA 19374. Visitation will be 12 PM-2 PM, Followed by a memorial service at 2 pm. A future North Dakota memorial service will also occur at a later date, yet to be determined.

So very sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. We will miss our dear friend and neighbor greatly. We are praying for you Nancy and look forward to the time you are able to come to North Dakota again. We are so very grateful you found a farm near us and for the many visits, we enjoyed with you and Bill. It’s hard to express just how grateful we are for the memories.
