Warren F. Jackson, Jr., 98
May 20, 1926 - July 07, 2024
Warren F. Jackson, Jr., 98, of Lancaster, passed away July 7, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Warren F. Jackson, Sr. and Kathryn N. (Gochenaur) Jackson welcomed their son on May 20, 1926, in Lancaster, where he would live and raise his own family, and a decades-long family business legacy. He was the loving husband of Margaret Jackson for over 58 years until her passing in 2010.
He was a proud graduate of J.P. McCaskey, class of 1944, and in 1962, he created Jackson’s Window Shoppe in Lancaster, where he served his community until his retirement in 1998. Over the years he welcomed his son and grandchildren into the family business, where they are now third generation strong. His entrepreneurialism and drive to succeed was unmatched and a trait he instilled in his family.
He will be remembered for his memberships to Lancaster Sertoma Club, Conestoga Country Club, and Four Acres Hunting Club. He enjoyed playing golf, hunting, watching sports, spending time at the slot machines in Atlantic City and Las Vegas, bowling, traveling, and crossword puzzles.
Warren will be sorely missed by his son, Bruce S. Jackson and partner in crime, Kristine Evans of Lancaster; grandchildren, Brian M. Jackson, husband of Sarah of Lancaster, Colleen, wife of Rob Murphy of Lancaster and Lindsay, wife of Jon Romig of Elizabethtown; and great grandchildren, Bryce H. & Trent D. Kauffman, Brady & Claire Jackson, and Beckham & Easton Murphy. He was preceded in passing by his parents, and siblings, Marion Heller and Robert W. Jackson.
A service honoring Warren will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543, beginning at 5 PM. Guests will be welcomed to a viewing from 3:30 PM to 5 PM. Please omit flowers and consider memorial contributions to Lancaster Catholic High School, 650 Juliette Ave. Lancaster, PA 17601, or the Jeff Musser Foundation, P.O. Box 216, Akron, PA 17501.

Bruce, my thoughts are with you and the family. While it has been many years since I’ve seen your dad, I still remember him well from your and my St. Joe days as well as our LCHS days. Some good memories of hanging out in the King Street store (painting it) or riding in the van to help out on installations. Truely a Great Man!

Bruce, my deepest condolences to you and your family. Your Dad was a great man and his sense of humor was always refreshing. I know you and “Warren”, as we all referred to him, were very close. Once again, accept my sincere condolence.
