My deepest condolences to Wally’s family and friends.  Wally was a dear friend of mine. We met over 25+ years ago when he worked at Woolworths in Park City.  He ran the hardware and small casual furniture department and helped cover the Pet , Music center and Toy department when the associates went to lunch or supper.  He was very shy at first , but once he got to know you, he could make you laugh and have fun. He took pride in taking care of his depart ment making sure it was well stocked and organized. A few of us would get together after work at one co workers place and play card games (mostly UNO) and board games. He really was a very kind , caring person and willing to help others.  As some one said he LOVED being a Dog Dad, I would stop and visit with Wally at his home in Lancaster City and enjoyed the time with his Mother and of course Barney.  He also loved when his nieces or nephews stopped by to visit at the house too.  Then Brody came on the scene after Barney passed.  When Wally moved to E town in his cute apartment., I visited him there and we either went grocery shopping, run errands or went to eat at a cute quaint restaurant near there.  We talked over the years either via phone, text or email. We kept in touch all these years and talked almost weekly in the last 5 years . He was a great friend  and I will miss him ALOT. Still seems hard for me to realize he is gone, but I know that he is no longer in pain or suffering anymore from his health issues. It  gives me comfort to know that he will be reunited with family and friends and Barney( dog)  that have passed before him. Rest in Peace , my dear friend. We will meet again some day.

I am so sad to see this obituary.  Wallace was a classmate and a good friend at St. Mary’s School.  From Sr. Claudine (1st grade) right up thru Mrs. Pender (8th grade) we shared those grade school years with happiness, laugther and simple fun.  We would chuckle that his mother and I shared the same birthday.  By sophomore year of HS, we were moving in different directions.  But I still value those nice times from St. Mary’s.  In the years since, I would ocassionaly see Wallace attending an LCHS football game or working at Woolworth’s in Park City and we would exchange a simple “hi” or just a “wave.”  It has been many years since I last saw him, but no doubt, the world has lost a soft spoken, kind and gentle man.  I keep his soul in my prayers and may he be at peace.

Wally is already missed.  We talked a lot on facebook and on the phone.  A good co-worker at Clover., many moons ago.  The last time I got to see him was at Walmart, we spent a little over an hour.  At that time he was having a lot of pain.  Well Wally you have no more pain.  Your with your love ones in heaven.  If I knew about Brody I would’ve taken him.  Today we just adopted a 11 year old Beagle mixed.
REST IN HEAVENLY PEACE WALLY.  WE’LL MEET AGAIN.
