Vincent Lloyd Groff, 84, of Lititz, passed away on November 20, 2020 at Luther Acres in Lititz. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He was born on December 16, 1935, in Paradise Township to Esaias and Mary (Simmons) Groff. He leaves behind his wife, Carol (Richardson) Groff. Other survivors include two daughters: Heather (Jack) Wailes of Otter River, MA, and Melissa (Kevin) Mooney of Provincetown, MA; one granddaughter: Rachelle Catherine Wailes of Otter River, MA; three step-daughters: Jennifer Wiley of Chicago, Julie Vanderwende of Ephrata and Megan (Daniel) Bowers of Mountville; two step-grandsons: Nicholas and Zachary Vanderwende of Ephrata; two sisters: Jean (Donald) Lefever of Pequea and Judith Henderson of York; as well as a brother: Vernon Groff of Lancaster.
He was employed by Armstrong World Industries and Morris Maintenance. He owned Heritage Janitor Supply Company and later worked as a manufacturer’s representative of Airwick Professional Products.
Vince was a thoughtful, kind, and humble person. He always put his family first. His hobbies included chess, baseball, softball, golf, and APBA baseball. He loved to read and was well-versed in history. He played well with others and never ever ran with scissors.
