Dear Betty,Brenda,Sarah,Paul,Christina,Rebecca and John,
It is hard to put in words how I felt about your Mom a single – minded Follower of Jesus Christ. She was rock – solid, wise and sincere and laid her life down for all of you. I respected and loved her as a truly wonderful friend. I will miss her greatly for she was truly amazing. My prayers of love, comfort will follow for all of you. I must rejoice that is no longer suffering or in pain.

Lovely,
Marilyn R. Holms

Our daughters, Terri Lynn and Donna Rae Treber, remember playing in the Peak St. mud puddles with you Brenda.  That’s just one of many wonderful memories we have of Vicky and her family.  Have to share this also:  The Moorheads and the Korpis spent so much time together, even Christmas.  It was Christmas Eve and we were all going to have dinner at our house…Santa was going to come early too!  Our parents got really tired of us asking when Santa was going to come, so my dad and your Grandpa Bert told us all to run around the block twice and by the time we got back, Santa would have made his rounds. We were all amazed that it actually happened.  But it did! (Vicky didn’t have to run because it was too cold and she was too little.) I got a toy cash register that year and Vicky and I played with that all evening until our folks got tired of it dinging ever time the drawer opened.
I could go on and on, but know that the Moorheads were a very BIG part of our lives for many years.  More hugs to all of you and hope you’re all doing ok.  David and June Treber

Dear Family of Vicki,
My children attended Jenkins several years ago, and I spent quite a bit of time at one point in the office with Vicki doing "Jenkins Parent" duties.  Vicki was so amazingly patient with all of the "hecticness" of the office and all of the parents and children coming in to ask her questions constantly.  Never did I hear her be anything but kind and sweet.  As I am sure she told all of the kids, she would always tell my children they were her favorite and always had a piece of candy for them from her desk. We stopped in the office several times over the years, and she always made me and my children feel like we were so missed.  I wish I would have stopped in sometime over the past two years.  I remember when Victoria was born, she could not contain the light beaming from her face.  I will remember Vicki and I am thinking of you.

To Vicky’s family, I am also a long time Lead neighbor and friend. It was so  much fun to meet Betty and Vicky for a quick lunch a few years ago here in York and remember the fun times that had passed. I am deeply saddened to think of the Peak Street kids we are losing. If I remember correctly, I think Vicky was the baby of the neighborhood. I know she put up a good fight and that her strength must have been amazing and that now she will be with us all until we meet again in Heaven. All of our Love and prayers to our newest Angel and to her family.

Both of us are deeply saddened to hear of Vicky’s passing. I grew up right next door to her parents house in Lead, South Dakota on Peak St. I remember Vicky as a pretty little blond haired girl and her older sister Betty real well. Its a shame that life and time sends us in all directions, but I guess that is the way its to be. Vicky was a very nice girl, and I remember her well. Our sad wishes go out to her family and friends.

Dear Betty and Colantonio family,

Having grown up with you and Vicky and being next door neighbors in Lead, you were all great neighbors to us Brudvigs.  I remember Vicky used to like to sunbathe on the side of your yard in a lounge chair.  I was really sorry to hear of Vicky’s passing!  She was a sweet and cute girl.  I wish I could have seen her again before all this happened.  I know she is in God’s hands now.  You have my heartfelt sympathy!

Love,  Janice (Brudvig) Hardy

Dear Betty and all of Vicky’s family…was so happy you called today Betty, even if the news was a shock.  Hard to imagine that little Vicky is gone.  We have not kept in contact much but I never think of Peak St. without the Moorheads coming to mind…what a great time in our lives. Have to smile just thinking about her; she was always so sweet, quiet and tiny.  Happy that David and I got to have breakfast with the two of you in Deadwood a few years ago…it had been a long time since we’d seen Vicky.
David and I will be keeping all of you in our prayers.
Love and big hugs to little Vicky Belle’s family.

To her family and friends I never got to meet Vicky, but in reading about her, I think she would have been a friend. You can be so proud of her and  the things she did. She is now with the Lord, and looking down upon all of  you, shed no tears, for you will see her again, and be together for ever and ever. God Bless all of you at this time, I go to Jesus Christ Salt and  Light in Sea tac Washington state. I got to meet Vicky’s sister Betty, and  she is a wonderful God loving person too,

To the family of Vicky Colantonio,

My son went to The Jenkins School for preschool and kindergarten. Vicky was always a steadfast face as we walked through the door in the morning. She always had a smile for us and something kind to say. She will be missed by my family and The Jenkins School as one who provided a kind heart and many other numerous things that the school needed. She also will be missed by the kids who she saw as they walked by her coming and going from school. What a wonderful human being she was! My sympathies to all of you.
Blessings,
Nancy Marker, Jenkins School Board

Dear Betty and all family members,

I am so privileged to have been part of the Moorhead family for many years and I am so glad I had a chance to be with Vicky and Betty in Deadwood and seeing how close they were as sisters.
I noticed what a caring and warm person Vicky was and what a loss it is to us but what great gain for Vicky and that is the comfort to hold on to.
You all have my prayers that the God of all comfort will be your comfort in this difficult time.

Eva Jansson

To all of you in Vicky’s family I send my love and condolences. Knowing Betty all these years I have heard many stories and met her a few times when she visited our church. It was a privilege to have been able to pray for her and I will continue to hold you all up through your loss. What an amazing woman.

Dear Colantonio Family,
Your mom and sister was such an incredible woman! I truly enjoyed being around her and looked forward to times of listening to her wisdom…even on the simplest of situations. What has consistently stood out to me over the years about her…has been her deep passion and love for her kids and family. It was SO strong!!

This past year, though it was extremely tough for her, I have watched her life in such amazement and have genuinely admired how she chose to live. She was full of such joy! Her love for Jesus was so inspiring, contagious and life changing. She has left a beautiful legacy. It will live on for years and years. I will really miss her. I extend my deepest sympathy to each of you.
Love, Heather Brubaker
