Dear Jan, Rita, and Whitney
We are very sorry and sad to hear about your loss of Trey.  I cannot find any words to adequately express our sorrow for each of you and your family.
We have an understanding of the hardship of a family member with mental illness and the toll it takes on them and their family—the worry and helpless feelings.
We are grateful for the many good times we shared together when our families were young and life was happier and carefree.  Those were special times for all of us.  Life goes by so quickly.
