I will never forget the first time I met you and Tim years ago at Farmers Hope Inn. I knew I found a place that was warm and welcoming because of you and Tim. There was always warm smiles and great conversations and genuine hearts that cared for their friends. I always saw Tim smiling and laughing, and enjoyed our talks when I was there.  I’m honored and thankful for our friendship that grew. Tim was one of the most kind hearted people I knew and you could feel it just being around him. A good soul….Rest peacefully Tim…you will be missed by so many.

I am so sorry for your loss. Tim was one of a kind. An immensely kind man with a big heart who was always looking out for others and ready to lend a hand or sympathetic ear. I will always look back fondly on the times I spent with Tim, Terri, and everyone at the Farmers Hope Inn. Tim’s CD choices were always on point, and he and Terri brought in such great musicians. That place was a second home to me and so many others. You welcomed us not only into your business as employees and guests, but into your lives. You let us enjoy your lake house. Tim changed my car’s alternator. We sat at the bar and drank Yuengling after our shifts. And Tim, you shared Nick Brown with us. What an awesome son you raised. Thank you, Tim (and Terri) for the wonderful memories. -Sarah Yount

Tim’s welcoming smile and calm presence at the Hope was a gift to all. I always brought my out of town guests to the Farmers Hope, for the warm welcome and history (and ghosts). He was taken far too early. My heart is with you, Terri.

A very remarkable man.  Always a gentleman who welcomed everyone with a smile.

August 26, 2017

Tim walked life’s path with honor, grace, and love for all. For over thirty five years he was more than friend- he was family. Our hearts grieve with you in the empty place that was his but we know his spirit soars with angels.

Terri, my heart goes out to you while words seem insufficient.  I’m so sorry for your loss.
I met Tim when Bennett took me to Farmer’s Hope for an open mic.  He said that he considered himself to be a steward of this property and its history.  We have so many fond memories there of great music, food, fun, and friends that seemed like family. Thank you for making our engagement party so magical.  You worked hard and loved him righteously.
I’m hoping thoughts of the good times and the love of the community you created will bring you comfort in the days ahead.

After a long day working at Faire, it was such a pleasure to unwind and have a good meal at Farmer’s Hope.  Often it was Tim’s smile that welcomed me there.  Always a gentleman in every sense of the word, steady, friendly, soothing, the perfect complement to Terri’s energy, laugh, smile-and-a wink.  I and many, many others will miss Tim’s being on the planet.  Since Farmer’s Hope closed, I’ve thought often of the good times there, Tim always a presence.  A truly good man.  Hugs to Terri and the family.  Gone way too soon.

We are so sorry for your loss. We all remember such happy times at the Lake House. May God comfort you all at this time and in the days to come. Steve and Donna Klarsch and family.

My husband and I walked into Farmers Hope Inn for the 1st time and quickly realized that we had found home. Terri and Tim always made us feel welcome and we loved spending time there.
We had the pleasure of having Terri and Tim join us on our vacation in Outer Banks this year and they fit in just like family. That says a lot. Tim will be greatly missed but I know he is flying a kite in Heaven and hanging out on the beach as we speak. God love you Tim.

He was the best thing that could have happened for my mom and my sister and I. Even though mom passed almost 19 years ago, he was there for me. He will be truly missed. I love you Tim.

Tim was a truly authentic person, which is such a rare find these days.  He was the kind of man that asked “How are you today?” NOT out of obligation, but because he genuinely wanted to know.  He will be SO missed, and I pray for peace and comfort for all of you.  xoxoxoxo

Terry,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. I first met Tim when he was at Lititz Auto and I will always have great memories of you both at Farmers Hope, whether we were there for open mics, the Sunday jam sessions, gigs or (especially) for our engagement party when you guys and your staff did such a great job. So many good memories, hopefully they will eventually outweigh the grief.
Love and mercy, Bennett and Debra.

I’m sorry to hear for your loss Nick. I knew your dad from going to his restaurant and helping my parents with his kindness, and willing to be such a great person to them. Also hearing about him at Clair before I even knew you. He always had that smile when he walked into a room. I remember talking to him about music and cars. I could tell your dad was a good father and cared and was proud of you in the hobbies /interests you had. I’ll always remember him and he will always will be in your heart. I’ll pray for  you and your family. R.I.P. Tim

I was shocked and very saddened to hear about Tim’s passing and am so sorry for your loss. He was a great colleague; very friendly, always willing to help and extremely hard working.
Tim was a member of our collaboration team and was the primary operator manufacturing my products at Phoenix Contact. I didn’t have the pleasure of working with Tim every day, but we would always stop and chat for a few moments as we passed in the hallways.
A few months ago, Tim was working an extra shift on Saturday and I stopped in to watch how my products were built. While Tim was working, he told stories of running his repair shop and restaurant and I was amazed that he had so many rich experiences to share. I’m sorry that I didn’t have the chance to get to know him better.
Tim’s great smile will be missed.
-Respectfully,

Will Dietz

You were one of the kindest people that I have ever met and I’m very proud to have called you my friend. You and Terri were there for me when I went through my own trauma and I can’t thank you all enough. Get things ready for trivia and we’ll all be along shortly. You’ll be remembered with great love.

I worked at the Farmer’s Hope Inn when I was just out of college, along with my roommate Sarah.  I was far away from home and missed family.  I’ve got to say Tim and Terri really created a second family for us.  It wasn’t just a job, it was a second home.  Tim was such a wonderful man.  I remember he would stand on the front porch and watch us walk to our cars to make sure we got in ok.  It was obvious how much he loved his family.  My love to Terri, Nick, Steph, Andrea, and Ashley.  You are all in my thoughts.
