Thomas P. Brommer, 85

Thomas P. Brommer, 85, formerly of East Petersburg, passed away at Brethren Village on Sunday, January 5, 2025. Tom shared 55 years of marriage with his wife Joanna M. (Horn) Brommer before her passing in 2016.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Phillip H. and Margaret (Gigl) Brommer. Tom graduated from Lancaster Catholic High School. He worked for Fulton Bank for 44 years and was manager of the East Petersburg Branch.
Tom was a parishioner of St. John Neumann Catholic Church, where he served as an usher, and he was active in St. Anne-St. Neumann Seniors and was a Third Degree Knight with Knights of Columbus Council 867.
Tom was community minded, having served on the Hempfield Rec Commission Board, Hempfield Board of Education, East Petersburg Fire Company, East Petersburg Rotary Club, and East Petersburg Historical Society.
A very sociable person, Tom enjoyed belonging to Lancaster Liederkranz and playing golf. He was an avid hunter for 40 years and was a member of Middletown Anglers & Hunters, Circle A Rod & Gun Club, and Columbia Fish & Game Assn. where he shot in the archery league.
Tom’s family includes three sons, Andrew J. Brommer, husband of Kathleen of Lebanon, Steven T. Brommer of East Petersburg, and Nathan J. Brommer, husband of Denise of Landisville, two grandsons, Zachary A. Brommer, husband of Hannah and their daughter Scottie Brommer of Harrisburg and Seth A. Brommer of Landisville, and Tom’s companion Patricia Donoghue of Lancaster.
In addition to his parents and wife, his brother Jere J. Brommer preceded Tom in death.
Mass of Christian Burial with The Rev. Norbert Suresh as Celebrant will take place 11 am on Monday, January 13, 2025, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 E. Delp Road, Lancaster, PA 17601. Viewings will take place 2-4 pm Sunday, January 12th at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543, and 10-11 am on Monday at the church before mass. Final Commendation and Farewell in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
