Theresa P. Ciccone
Theresa P. Ciccone, one hundred years old, of Lancaster, died on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Steelton, she was the daughter of the late Francesco and Louisa Intrieri Pugliese – Ciccone. Theresa was raised in New York City by her uncle and paternal aunt, Frank and Lucy Tripiccio.
Before retiring, Miss Ciccone was employed by RCA for 35 years in Department 35. She was a member of Sons of Italy, York Lodge, and St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, where she was the oldest parishioner.
Surviving is a nephew, Franklyn W. Gross, married to Helen (Hilbert) Gross of Lancaster, two nieces, Audrey R. (Sides) Bohner, married to Woodward H. Bohner of Port Charlotte, Fla, and Rosalie M. Gross, with whom she resided, three great nephews, four great nieces, seven great-great nieces, seven great-great nephews, and one great-great-great niece. Theresa was preceded in death by three sisters, Gilda P. Ciccone, Rose C. Gross and Euphemia C. Sides. She will be greatly missed by her dear friend, Antoinette “Dolly” (Caccamo) Gaul.
A viewing will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home Inc, 414 East King, Lancaster, PA, 17602 on Monday, February 16, 2009 from 9-10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 501 East Orange Street, Lancaster PA, 17602, on Monday at 11AM, with Rev. Daniel Mitzel as Celebrant. Interment will be in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Theresa’s memory to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church or Dominican Sisters of the Perpetual Rosary 1834 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA, 17601.
