Thai Kim Vu, 81
Thai Kim Vu, 81, of 635 Candlewyck Rd., Lancaster, died Monday afternoon at her residence.
She was the wife of Y Van Vu of Lancaster. Born in Hanoi, Vietnam, Thai was the daughter of the late Xuyen Dinh Nguyen and the late Hoa Thi Nguyen.
She had been a homemaker, and she enjoyed knitting, traveling and fine dining. The most important thing she enjoyed was spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Vu was a member of the Vietnamese Catholic Community Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons: Tam Quang Vu married to Thanh Vu of Lancaster, Trung Vu married to An Ho of New Orleans, LA; 4 daughters: Nga Buu of Lancaster, Tuyet Takacs married to Karl Takacs of New Orleans, Thu Cao married to Chau Cao of Lancaster, and Oanh Lam married to Thu Lam of Houston, TX. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 brothers: Dan Nguyen married to Dao Nguyen of Westminster, CA, and Hai Nguyen married to Nguyet Nguyen of New Orleans. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ha Phan and a brother, Loc Nguyen.
Friends will be received on Wednesday at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA from 6-9PM. Friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10AM at St John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 E. Delp Rd., Lancaster, PA, with the cremation service to follow at Evans Eagle Crematorium in Leola. Mrs Vu’s family respectfully asks that no flowers nor money be sent, instead making contributions in her memory to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Central PA, 800 Corporate Circle, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
