Thadeus J. Jaworski, 85

January 06, 2017

Thadeus “Ted” J. Jaworski, 85, of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly at home, on Friday, January 06, 2017. Born in Summit Hill, PA, Ted was the son of the late Francis and Mary (Zwolenik) Jaworski. He was the loving husband of Marie A. (Porambo) Jaworski, with whom he celebrated 57 years of marriage.
Ted graduated from Summit Hill High School in 1949 and went to serve in the US Air Force during the Korean War, serving from 1949 until his honorable discharge in 1955. Ted earned an associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University. He retired from RCA and Burle Industries after 35 years of service.
Ted belonged to St. Anne’s Catholic Church for over 50 years, joining the church in 1963. Ted managed a Manheim Township little league baseball team for nine years and was a Cub Master of Pack 13 and on the board of Boy Scout Troop 102 for several years. He was an avid stamp collector and had a “green thumb” and loved his flower and vegetable garden.
In addition to his wife, Marie, Ted is survived by three sons: Robert Jaworski, husband of Alice, of Audubon, PA; John Jaworski, husband of Louise, of Ijamsville, MD; and David Jaworski, of Huntington Beach, CA; 5 grandchildren, James, Claire, Caroline, Eric, and Katherine Jaworski; and his sisters, Frances Krajnak, wife of Vincent, of Swoyersville, PA and Theresa Jaworski, of Summit Hill, PA.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11AM, on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 929 N. Duke St., Lancaster, PA 17602. Family and friends will be received at the church for visitation from 10AM-11AM. Interment with Red Rose Military Honors will follow at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ted’s name may be made to St Anne’s Catholic Church.
