Following graduation, Steve worked for the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General, Office of Consumer Advocate and, most recently, worked for the private law firm Braun, Blaising, McLaughlin, & Smith P.C. in California.
A hardcore Penn State fan, Steve would tailgate and attend Nittany Lions football games whenever he could. He also enjoyed watching and rooting for the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles. Annually, Steve would travel East to vacation at the Delaware beaches with his friends. Steve also loved Bruce Springsteen and had the opportunity to see him many times in concert. Steve was of Catholic faith.

To the Family: I just learned of Steve’s passing. I was an attorney for a gas company in PA and spent many years dealing with Steve. He was bright, knowledgeable and always fair. He will be missed.

To the Family of Steve Keene:
I was quite saddened to hear of Steve’s illness and eventual passing. I first met Steve when we were students at Penn State in 1979. We reconnected about 15 years later at Penn State football games and he eventually became a fixture in our Tailgating group of friends. We even traveled together to Penn State away games at Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Virgina as well as several Bowl Games. Unfortunately we did not keep in touch after he moved to California. The times I spent at Penn State games are some of of my fondest memories – purely for the opportunity to spend time with friends like Steve. The fun times we shared will always be a part of my memory.
(I have several pictures of Steve taken during our travels – I was hoping there would be an opportunity to post some here – if anyone would like them feel free to contact me at the email address provided)
