Stephen G. Keen, 76

Stephen G. Keen, age 76, of Lancaster, passed away on March 1, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. The son of Nancy Pauline Keen and the late Joseph Keen Sr., he was born in Lancaster on Oct. 22, 1948. Steve was preparing to celebrate his 43rd wedding anniversary with his beloved wife Sandra (Hagen) Keen, later this month.
Steve was known to many for his dedicated years at Hajoca Corporation, where he retired in 2022. His positive outlook and demeanor drew people to him. He prided himself on his yearly golfing retreat to different golf courses with friends and family. For many years he bowled in numerous bowling leagues and played softball and volleyball.
He will be missed by his wife Sandra, stepdaughter, Renee O’Dell of Strasburg, granddaughters Meghan Megargee and Devin, wife of Jose Velez, great grandchildren, Jonavon, Xavier, Lorenzo, Khaleesi and Kalea, a sister, Paula Funk, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister Joann, his brother Joseph Jr., a great grandson, Camden Luca Velez and his niece, Kelly Funk.
A Memorial Service honoring Steve will be held on March 11, 2025, at the Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584, beginning at 11 AM. The family will receive guests at 10 AM. Memorial contributions are encouraged to be sent to the American Heart Association, or the American Cancer Society.

I worked as a rep with Steve in the plumbing industry. I even played softball with him. He was a good guy and a friend. May he rest in peace.

Steve was one of the most kind and optmistic people I knew. It could be pouring and he would see that sliver of “bright” sky. He would not only say that the rain would be gone soon, he’d convince you of it! Love and hugs to you all.
