Stephen A. Gomez, 25
January 14, 2022
Stephen A. Gomez, 25, of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly on January 14, 2022. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Maria A. Cortes and Julio A. Gomez.
He was a free spirit and had a kind soul. He never met a stranger. Every person in the world, to him, was just a friend he hadn’t met yet. He always saw the good in people. He had a talent many envied; he taught himself to play the guitar and recently started teaching himself to play the piano. He was a talented musician and song writer. Stephen loved animals and traveling. He recently returned to Lancaster after moving to Oregon for a few years. He was loved by many and will truly be missed by all who knew him.
Stephen will be sorely missed by his parents, Maria and Julio; siblings, Julius Gomez and Yahaira Gomez, both of Lancaster; nephews, James Stewart IV, Cameron Stewart, Jonah Stewart, Giovanni Gomez, Aiden Gomez and Aries Gomez; paternal grandfather, Julio Gomez; and his aunts and uncles, Fransisco, Angel, Gilberto, Juan, Adrian, Jahaira, Jairaliz, Elizabeth and Javier. He was preceded in passing by his paternal grandmother, Margarita Gomez, and maternal grandparents, Gloria Quinones and Marcelino Cortes.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St. Lancaster, PA 17602. Friends and relatives will be received from 10 AM to 11 AM. Interment will follow at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
