Sophie Pavlides, 85

Sophie Pavlides, 85, of Lancaster, PA died Sunday morning, June 3, 2007 at the Essa Flory Hospice Center after an illness.

She was the wife of Chris Pavlides, with whom she celebrated their 60^th wedding anniversary this past January 26^th. Born in Lancaster, Sophie was the daughter of the late Jacob and Eva Baxes Lascarides.

She had formerly worked at the Hamilton Watch Co, RCA Corp., and JL Clark.

Sophie was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, where she had been a member of the church’s Philoptochos Society. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, spending time with her family and loved her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Sophie is survived by a daughter, Linda K. married to Ron Stepanchick, 2 grandsons: Jason, married to Lisa, and Justin, and by a sister, Betsy L. Georgeadis.

Funeral services will be on Thursday at 11AM at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, 64 Hershey Ave., Lancaster, PA 17603. Friends may pay their respects to the family at the church on Thursday from 10-11AM. Interment in Conestoga Memorial Park.
