Condolences to the Family
May Thea Sophia’s memory be eternal. I have so many fond memories of my own of her. Thea Sophia was a beautiful, peaceful, loving human being of which I had the honor of knowing as a niece. I remember, as a young child, visiting the New Holland home on a Sunday afternoon and fighting nap-time. Thea Sophia kindly took me upstair and let me lay on Demetra’s bed, and softly told me to take a short nap and when I woke up, I could go over to the shop and get a coke out of the soda chest. Of course, her plan worked, but the thing I remember most was her soft, soothing, loving voice with the far away sound of the buggy horse’s hooves outside, I fell fast asleep feeling loved and secure. That’s a childhood memory etched in my mind. To the whole family, let’s celebrate her life and the way she touched us all!
With love,
Maria Hazangeles
My thoughts are with you all at this time. I will always remember Thea Sofia’s smile – so gentle and kind…and her wonderful sense of humor.
With deepest sympathy and much love,
Joanne (Keares) Marsh
Dear Demetria:
My condolences to you on the death of your mother. I have thought about you a lot ever since I read your mother’s obit in the paper. I would have liked to attend her service but I have been sick with a bad cold.
I know the effort and energy needed to plan these services, I planned my father’s alone in 2008, as my brother was in China. It’s usually a good family time and I trust it was for you and your family.
Very sincerely,
Phyllis Miller Sauder
