Socrates Theodoran, 78
Socrates “Soc” Theodoran, 78, of Dearborn Heights, MI, died Sunday September 9, 2007 in Lancaster, PA, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Detroit, MI, he was the son of the late Christ and Ourania Theodoran. He was the loving husband of Evanie “Ev” Theodoran. They celebrated 53 years of marriage in May.
Mr. Theodoran retired in 1988 from the Chrysler Corporation in Highland Park, MI. Socrates was a veteran of the U.S. Army during WW II, stationed in Japan, and also served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, stationed in Korea. He was a member of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Westland, MI.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Dr. Chris G. Theodoran, husband of Anne M., of Lancaster; grandsons, Thomas C. and Michael J. Theodoran, both of Lancaster; and a sister, Diane Coobatis, of Dearborn, MI. He was preceded in death by a brother, George Theodoran.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September, 14, 2007, at 1:00 p.m., from Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 36375 Joy Rd., Westland, MI 48185. Interment in Franklin Cemetery, Franklin, MI. Friends will be received from 10:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Soc’s memory to Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church. Arrangements by the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home and Chapel, Lititz.
