Shobhaben “Shobha” Patel, 73, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Zarola, India, Shobha was the beloved daughter of the late Ravjibhai and Shantaben Patel. She was the devoted wife of Jagdishchandra Patel, with whom she shared a life filled with love and cherished memories.

Shobha was known for her warmth, generosity, and vibrant spirit. She had a passion for cooking and was celebrated for her delicious sweet and savory Indian dishes that brought joy to family gatherings. She found happiness in shopping, traveling, and visiting loved ones. Her green thumb was evident in her flourishing garden of flowers and vegetables. Above all, Shobha treasured time spent with her family, creating lasting moments filled with laughter and love.

She is survived by her loving children, Sushma Patel and her husband Nilesh Patel and Nimeshkumar Patel and his wife Alpa Patel and daughter-in-law Nehaben Patel wife of Late Vipulkumar Patel. She was a proud grandmother of six grandchildren: Yesha, Shail, Helly, Parin, Siya, and Keya Patel; and one eagerly anticipated great-grandchild on the way. Shobha was preceded in death by her son, Vipulkumar Patel, whose memory she held close to her heart.

A Viewing and Prayer Service to celebrate Shobha’s remarkable life will be held from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543.

Shobha’s loving presence and the values she instilled will continue to inspire all who knew her. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
