Sharon L. Jones, 67

Sharon L. (Bitts) Jones, 67, of New Providence, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 18, 2023.

Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of the late Richard R. and Geraldine M. (Brinton) Bitts, Sr.

Sharon worked for the Red Rose Transit Authority for many years before her retirement. She was a member of Faith United Church of Christ and was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. Her faith was a very big part of her life. She belonged to a knitting group at her church. In her free time, she was always doing research and reading her Bible. She would help write the newsletters for her church. Some of her hobbies included candle making and growing and creating dried herb mixtures. She was always kind to others and known for being sociable. She had a sweet tooth and would eat anything chocolate. Whether that was ice cream or chocolate candies. Most importantly, she loved her family and the time she spent with them, especially her grandkids.

Sharon is survived by her daughters, Richdeana (JD Fuhs) Jones, and Laura (Andy Taylor) Jones; her siblings, Carole Keefer, Tina Schadewald, and Richard Bitts, Jr.; and her grandchildren, Payten Fuhs, Virginia Moore, Waylon Moore, Roy Stevens, and Willow Stevens.

Friends and family will be received from 9:30AM to 10:30AM on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Faith United Church of Christ, 1204 Wabank Road, Lancaster, PA 17603. A Funeral Service will follow beginning at 10:30AM. Burial will take place in Green Hill Cemetery, 5801 River Road, Conestoga, PA 17516.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sharon’s name to the Memorial Fund at Faith United Church of Christ, 1204 Wabank Road, Lancaster, PA 17603.
