Betty,
I am sorry for your great loss and ask for the Lord to bless you and keep you safe. I am also sorry that I learned too late of Scott’s passing for me to respond in a better fashion.

Dear Betty, Scott and Carol, David and Robin, Jennifer and Scott, Ellen and Scott, Paul and Stephanie and all of your children,

I am sorry I was not near to say goodbye to your Dad, my Uncle Scott, and add to the love that so many surrounded him with. I sent my love from where I was. I know his spirit is joyful and it is complete from his life of giving and receiving love and from his devotion. I know his care and kindness spread wide.
Uncle Scott took my Mom and me for a soda when I was quite young and he gave me a very funny looking autograph doll. I believe this was before he and you, Aunt Betty, were married. Among other signatures, I had Mimi and Papa’s, Terrie and Bill’s, Molly and Mike’s and my brothers Mike and Matt’s. It’s a fond memory from a sweet time.
My family and I send you our best. We hope the dear memories of your loving Dad will help lighten your hearts.

Dear Betty and family,
I am so glad God put us together for a time in prison ministry. I learned so much from both of you and just enjoyed your humor and wisdom. Your loving marriage is such an example for all to see and the pride and love with which you talked about your children and grandchildren was heartwarming. Gonna miss that whole group. God go with you and may Scott Rest In Peace.
love and prayers, Ginny Anspach

Jeff, Lee and I would like to say that our time knowing and enjoying Scott and his blessed spirit was all too short.  We will cherish the times we spent together; whether at the warehouse, at an OTS meeting in those “early days”, on a move, or at the spaghetti dinner, his bright smile and kind (and fun) words always left us with a smile and warmed our hearts. We thank God that he passed as peacefully as he lived because he had the joy of the Lord with him always… and “that’s good for now”! Enrica, Jeff, and Lee Gerhart

Betty, I am so sorry for your great loss.  Off The Streets has lost a very big contributor who brought both physical light in the form of lamps and lighting to the homeless but Scott lit up our Off The Streets ministry with his kind smile and dedication to helping our homeless neighbors.  You and your family are in my prayers.

We were saddened to hear of your loss.  Having worked with Scott at Alcoa, I knew him to be a good man and a dedicated worker.  He was a loving husband and father.  We were fortunate enough to forge a personal relationship with Scott and Betty.  Our times together have produced pleasant memores.  Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.
