Sandra L. Zimmerman, 84

August 11, 2025

Sandra (Sandy) L. Zimmerman, 84, of Lancaster passed away Monday, August 11, 2025, surrounded by her family at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lebanon, PA she was the daughter of the late Albert and Dorothy (Ulrich) Waltz. She is preceded in death by her brother, James Waltz of Post Falls, ID.

Her recipes and special traditions will be passed down for generations to come.

She is survived by her two sons, Timothy Zimmerman of Lancaster and Brenton Zimmerman of Ephrata. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Andrew (Samantha), Jillian (Travis), John; six great-grandchildren, Theodore, Tyler, Magnolia, Iris, Marlowe, Elliott and one on the way.

Services and Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Condolences to the Family

Sandy was our neighbor for many years on Atkins Ave. What an amazing gardener and dog-lover. She shared plants, babysat our dog on occasion, and was a great neighbor and friend. Our condolences to her family. Alison Kibler

Sandy was always the first person to greet me each morning with her gracious smile at C.V.M.S. Many a wintery morning she would personally call me to give me a heads up on the cancellations or delay times.   She  knew that I began traveling very early each school day to prepare for the school day.   It was her kindness that she exhibited in her thoughtfulness that was apparent is so many different ways.   Sandy made the middle school a wonderful place to work.   My sincere condolences to the family. Linda Christy
