Ruth’s children remember their mother as someone who was always in the background caring for others. Ruth was committed to her family and loved to visit and participate in family events.
A family visitation and graveside service are planned on February 26 and 27.
Ruth’s children are grateful for family and friends who have remembered Ruth in their thoughts and prayers during these last three years since her husband and our father died, especially during these COVID months when we and others have not been able to visit her regularly. Thank you for your words of encouragement and compassion.

Family of Ruth You have our sympathy. Have fond memories of all the good times at P@F with mom and dad. After P@F going out to eat with mom and the girls from P@F, we sure had a fun time, picking different resturants, and all the laughs. Cherish your memories, she was a great lady. I attended Neffsville Mennonite Church since childhood but that wasn’t where I first got to know Bob and Ruth Byler. In high school, I waitressed at Oregon Dairy and got to know them quickly. From there, they were always smiling faces at church! Always a couple to say “hi, how are you?”. They were a wonderful, kind couple and will be missed! Peace to the family especially through these most unusual times to grieve.
