She loved flowers and her flower beds, making bouquets that she sold at her house over the years. Ruth also had worked at the voting polls in East Petersburg for 25 years as well. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and babysitting in years past.
Ruth is survived by her children: Donald married to Sue Parmer of Columbia, Dennis married to Sue Parmer of Ephrata, and Brenda married to John Worden of Landisville; her 7 grandchildren, her 15 great grandchildren, and her 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Parmer Jr. and her 2 brothers: Lloyd and John, and her 2 sisters: Blanche and Arlene.

We were lucky enough to have Ruth as our neigbor for over 6 years. I will never forget how she would be outside weeding her flowers for hours, and at that time, she was in her 80’s! She was a strong woman, with a big heart and great faith. She will be forever remembered fondly by us. With lots of love: Emily, Steve, Mary and Joe Bukowski
