Ronald E. Sweigart, 83

Ronald E. Sweigart, 83, went into the arms of his loving God on Sunday, February 25, 2018.
He was the husband of Florence L. Diller Sweigart, with whom he shared 53 years of marriage this past June 24th. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Amos and Isabele Walter Sweigart.
Ronald had been a barber for 69 years, having his shop for the past 45 years on East Orange St. in Lancaster.
He was of the Catholic faith.
A man who loved nature, he enjoyed traveling to the mountains in his motorhome and spent many fun times with his family at Pinchot State Park.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters: Dorothy Atzeff (Sam), Donna Gill (Brian), Linda Barr (Robert), Susan Kline (Brian), Denise Wilkes (Keith), Diana Mathiot (Ronald), and Deborah Pfender (Mark); his sons Carl Sweigart (Cindy), and Ronald Aument (Vicki), and by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Ronald is also survived by his sister Carole Houck (Norman) and his brother Ken Sweigart. He was preceded in death by his sister, Julia Barley.
Friends and family are invited to attend Ronald’s Memorial Service on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at 2PM at Lancaster First Assembly of God Church, 1025 Columbia Ave., Lancaster, PA. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Ronald’s memory to the Humane League of Lancaster County, 2195 Lincoln Hwy East, Lancaster, PA 17602.

Ron was our barber for 40+years.  We never had to wait for an appointment, he always fit us in!!
Many fond memories of going to Ron’s Barber Shop on Orange Street in Lancaster.
