Ronald D. Shreiner, 84

October 29, 2018

Ronald D. Shreiner, 84, of Ephrata, entered into the arms of his heavenly Father on October 29, 2018 at Maple Farms Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Lititz, Ronald was the son of the late Amos and Elizabeth (Long) Shreiner. He was the loving husband to Jane (Pheasant) for 62 years.
Ronald was a member of The Worship Center in Lancaster. He spent most of his life as a self-employed truck driver. He and Jane also owned and operated four local restaurants in Elizabethtown, Lititz, Brickerville and Ephrata. Ronald enjoyed watching Old Westerns and providing for his family. He leaves a legacy of boating and water-skiing to the many people he taught. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of his life. Ronald’s joking personality and stubborn nature will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Pamela Strauss (Dennis) of Lititz, Cynthia Shreiner (David Martin) of Ephrata, Belinda Clark (Douglas) of Bird-In-Hand, Todd Shreiner (Gina) of Akron and Celina Bertovic (Vladimir) of Middletown; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; his sister Kay Fink of Manheim and brother Timothy Shreiner of Rothsville. He was preceded in death by his sisters: Hazel Greiner, Nancy DePerrot and Gayle Garner.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service which will be held at 11AM on Saturday, November 3rd, at The Worship Center, 2384 New Holland Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601. The family will receive guests from 10-11 AM at the church. Ronald’s final resting place will be at Rothsville Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Ronald’s memory may be offered to Transport for Christ, PO Box 117 Marietta, PA 17547.

Condolences to the Family

I want to offer my deepest sympathy to the family. When I read this, I found out that I knew his sister Nancy very well, and I went to school with Tim. I met Jane, through a mutual friend. I am sorry for your loss, and praying for peace and comfort. If you remember the McCo’s from Brunnerville, I am Dawn

To All the Shreiners–
Thank you for the love and kindness you have shown to me, and for the love that bonded Jane and Ronald together and showed Christ’s love to others.  Although I didn’t do too well on those water-skis, it was their generous nature that I appreciated.  I hope that your whole family grows stronger in love and receives blessings.  Hopefully some of your grieving tears will become tears of joy to see each other and know you have a wonderful family.  Sincerely,  Jan (Scheidler) Traverso

To the whole Shreiner family,
I always enjoyed my visits to your family homestead and on the water. Your dad was definitely one of the good ones!! I know he will be missed greatly. My heart is with you all at this time and I pray this brings you closer to each other and the Lord as you grieve and celebrate together.
Love,
Eloise Hull (friend of Pam’s)

In God’s arms.   For a number of years we would camp at Raystown, Point Camp with Ron and Jane for the month of Oct.  We could not have met and enjoyed the company of a more friendly, gracious, and christian couple… We will always have those good memories…
