Robert V. Santos, 73

August 18, 2022

Robert V. Santos, 73, of Downingtown and formerly of New York, NY, passed away unexpectedly in his home on August 18, 2022. Born in Manhattan, he was the son of the late Mario Colon Santos, Sr. and Milagros Velez.

Robert voluntarily enlisted in the United States Marine Corps 3rd Marine Division, faithfully serving in active combat during the Vietnam conflict as a rifleman and radio technician. He was later stationed at Camp Pendleton as a Military Police Officer. He was a regular attendee at military reunions and memorials, never forgetting to honor those he served with as well as other branches of the armed forces. Robert had may talents due to his technical acuity. He enjoyed dancing, bowling, woodworking, construction, automotive customization, steel work, and photography. His love of God, country, and family is his enduring legacy.

He is survived by his daughters, Janette, wife of James Nowlin of Myerstown, PA and Chevonne, wife of Maxwell Reid of Hampton, VA; grandchildren: Stephan, Demetrius, Marcel, Isabel, Natalia, and Alexandre; great-grandchildren: Kaydance, Jayceon, Lorryn, Xavier, Xalani, and Xandyr ; siblings: James, Alicia, Alexander, and Peter, as well as a host of extended family. He was preceded in passing by his beloved ex-wife Fior D`aliza and brothers, Mario and William.

Service and burial schedules are TBA. We seek to include and accommodate all who wish to attend.
