Robert J. Uhron, 86

Robert J. Uhron, 86, passed away at his Manheim Township home surrounded by his loving family on December 10, 2016. He was born in Chambersville, PA, to the late George J., Sr. and Mary E. (Gressock) Uhron. Robert and his loving wife Virginia (DiTullio) Uhron were married for 60 years.

He graduated from Penn State in 1953 and then served in the US Navy, completing the Naval Aviation Flight Training Program. Robert worked as a test engineer in quality control. Robert was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and was active in various ministries.

In addition to his loving wife Virginia, Robert is survived by their daughters, Cynthia C. Uhron of Jenkintown, PA, Carole, wife of Gregg Ogden of Newburyport, MA, and Judy, wife of Len Cusato of Corolla, NC; grandchildren, Christopher Robert and Jessica Blake Ogden, Len’s daughters, Kylie and Kennedy Cusato and his brother Tom Uhron of Indiana, PA. He was preceded in death by ten siblings.

A viewing will take place from 10 to 11 AM, followed by the Mass at 11 AM with Rev. Daniel F.X. Powell as Celebrant, on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 E. Delp Road, Lancaster, PA 17601. Interment in Saint Bernard of Clairvoux Catholic Cemetery, Indiana, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Community Care, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
