Robert H. Slagle, 72

May 22, 2025

Robert H. Slagle, 72, of Lititz, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 22, 2025. Born in Miami-Dade, Florida, he was the son of the late Marilyn (Croyle) and Raymond B. Slagle.

Bob, as he was affectionately known, was the beloved husband of Linda (Miller) Slagle. Together, they shared over 37 years of marriage, built on love, laughter, and enduring partnership.

A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Bob served his country with honor and carried that same sense of duty, discipline, and integrity into every aspect of his life.

Before his retirement, Bob worked as a Sales Manager for Lift Inc., where he was respected for his dedication, reliability, and strong work ethic. Outside of work, Bob found joy in woodworking and woodturning—crafts that reflected both his skill and patience. He took great pride in his yard and landscaping, often found outside tending to every detail, with birds nearby that he loved to watch.

Bob had a deep love for Christmas and the traditions that came with it, bringing warmth and cheer to those around him during the holiday season. He will be remembered for his unique sense of humor, which brought smiles and laughter to family and friends alike. He was loving, loyal, faithful, and dependable—qualities that defined his character and the way he lived his life.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; his son, Zach Robert Slagle of Lititz; and his stepdaughter, Marlo Dentici (Luke Mosch) of Lancaster; step-grandfather to Levi Kroeck. Bob is also survived by his sisters, Paula Samaj (Steve) and Toni Janof Steffens, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who cherished his presence in their lives.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a veterans’ health organization of your choice, in honor of Bob’s service and respect for those who served.

He leaves behind a legacy of craftsmanship, humor, love, and quiet strength—and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
