Robert G. Ulmer, Sr., 76
Robert G. Ulmer Sr., 76, formerly of 114 Meadia Ave., passed away in Lancaster on Sunday morning.
He was the husband of the late Marianne Lowell Ulmer, who passed away in 2003. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late J. Clyde and Bertha Tshudy Ulmer.
Robert had worked as an engineer at the Brandywine Valley Fabrication Co in Coatesville and for UGI of Lancaster.
He enjoyed collecting trains and was an avid marksman.
Robert had served in the US Army in the Korean War as a Private First Class, receiving the Korean Service Medal with 3 bronze service stars.
He is survived by 3 sons all of Lancaster: Robert G. Jr. married to Maureen Ulmer, Richard D., married to Sandra Ulmer and Steven L. married to Angela Ulmer; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Robert is also survived by 2 sisters: Ellen married to Richard Irwin of Narvon and Pauline Hoffmaster of Drexel Hill,PA. He was preceded in death by a brother, J. Clyde Ulmer Jr. and a sister, Dorothy Weist.
Friends will be received on Friday from 10-11AM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 441 N. George St., Millersville, PA, with the memorial service to follow at 11AM.
