Dear Rose,

I was so sorry to hear of Bob’s death this past week.  After visiting with you last Saturday, it was obvious that Bob was fading quickly.  While we are sorry to lose him, I’m glad that he didn’t have to suffer long.

It was so good to finally meet you after hearing Bob speak of you so often on our bus trips together.  As I told you last week, he really loved you and it was so evident in our conversations together.

You take care of yourself and if I can be of any help or encouragement to you, please let me know.
