Robert Carl “Bob” Lohman, 86
Robert “Bob” Carl Lohman, 86, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Essa Flory Hospice Center in Lancaster. Born in Nanticoke, PA, he was the son of the late Minnie and Fred Lohman.
He retired in 1984 with 39 years of service as a Supervisor with RCA.
A United States Army veteran, Bob served in the Normandy Invasion and subsequent campaigns in Europe. He was a recipient of the WWII Victory Metal with 5 Bronze Stars. He was a life member with the American Legion Post 34. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling. He was an avid golfer who particularly liked playing at Overlook Golf Course.
Bob is survived by his wife of 56 years, Anne J. (Johnson) Lohman of Lancaster, PA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews covering 3 generations. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Johnson, who died in October 2007. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Fred and George; 3 sisters, Roberta Bolster, Marguerite Lohman, and Marie Noveral.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment at St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery.
